Tony Carey, born and raised in California, realized early, that the music was more important for him than the study at a college. He made his first experience with such famous musicians like Ritchie Blackmore and his group Rainbow and cooperated with them for three years. In 1978 Tony Carey came up for a two week studio session to Germany. He met the producer Peter Hauke, who introduced him Into the german-european scene. Since Tony Carey lives in Germany and wrote above 150 Songs and put several albums on the market. He had a lot of hits with groups like Yellow Power and Planet P, the latter had , a big success on MTV. As solo-artist Tony Carey had a big hit with the song I wont be home tonight in the states. In Germany Tony Carey became known for his cooperation with Peter Maffay. He wrote many songs for him, especially the new Soundtrack: Der Joker.
