Formed in Missouri during early 1988 by the nucleus of vocalist Michael Franano, his brother Bobby on keyboards and drummer Shane, THE FRONT teamed up with bassist Randy Jordan and lead guitarist Mike Greene over the next few months and managed to pick up management from Scott McGhee, brother of the legendary Doc. After signing to CBS Records and recording an album in Canada, THE FRONT toured in support of that debut record until September 1990. Many critics found the album, although of undoubted quality, to be tooblatant in its influences.
