Alistair Gordon got his start singing backing vocals for such acts as Eric Clapton, The Who, Labi Siffre, The Choir Boys, and Kevin Kennedy. After recording his debut album with SCOTT & BATISCHE for Polydor he decided to join forces with Richard Darbyshire (LIVING IN A BOX) and Gary Tibbs (ADAM & THE ANTS, ROXY MUSIC) in the band ZU ZU SHARKS. They recorded an album for EMI and troured Europe, attaining the number one single spot in Spain. Alistair released two more albums for EMI, signed with Atlantic and worked with Mick Jones (FOREIGNER), Alan Gorrie (AVERAGE WHITE BAND) and Paul Young (MIKE AND THE MECHANICS). GENESIS keyboardist Tony Banks invited Alistair to front his band BANK STATEMENT which released an album on Virgin Records. Alistair spent most of his time recently touring in Australia, writing and producing. This, his most recent release will please lovers of bands like Foreigner and Mike & The Mechanics. |
