The debut by Newman was released in Europe through Point Music as a solo project and was warmly received by critics and fans alike, but the second album One Step Closer saw a huge leap forward and establish them as a great melodic rock band.

Their 99 performance at the annual Gods event in Wigan impressed an eager crowd and won them a whole new fan base. Musically the band has a very American sound, but Steve Newmans vocals are so British that it creates a whole new slant.

Comparisons to Nightranger, FM and Strangeways can easily be made. Another year has passed and Steve Newman has been hard at work writing songs for a third album. Its always very hard to surpass an album like One Step Closer, but not impossible as this album clearly demonstrates. The album was recorded in Parr Street studios, England and was produced by Steve Morris and Chris Ousey (Heartland). Guests include Dave Hopia (Distance) on bass and Rob Kurzreiter (Distance & Boulevard) on drums. Mixing is courtesy of the highly experienced Paul Dean (Loverboy & Blackstone).
