NEW EDEN is a Progressive Power Metal group started by Horacio Colmenares after departing from the acclaimed STEEL PROPHET in the mid 90s. The music can be best described as Progressive Speed Metal fronted by melodic and talented singing. Fast guitar riffing and massive amounts of double bass drumming pound away creating fertile ground for challenging musical passages. The lyrics range from spiritual to political and tend to exercise and challenge the listeners critical thinking ability, or lack thereof. Throughout its existence, NEW EDEN has been contributed to by many diverse and talented individuals. The most recent CD STAGNANT PROGRESSION was fronted by ex-STEEL PROPHET front man RICK MYTHIASIN.
