Named after lead vocalist Marcus Malone, Detroit based Marcus released a one off album for United Artists in 1976 and 70s connoisseurs have always regarded it as a classic. Featuring three guitarists and guest bass player Tim Bogert (ex-Vanilla Fudge, Cactus and Beck, Bogert & Appice), it was a bit strange to see the album filed under so many wrong shop sections at the time it was originally released. Besides the guitar attacks in each track, the unique vocals of Malone were another trademark of the band. To give you an idea of how he sounded: think of a mix of Glenn Hughes and Steven Tyler!
