In the 1980s Jan was Guitarist-in-Chief with Cartoon Biker Band Zodiac Mindwarp and the Love Reaction, supporting Guns n Roses on extensive tours of the US and Canada. Other musical collaborations include Aswad, Maxi Priest and Pete Shelley. In the 1990s Jan recorded three highly respected solo albums: Beyond the Common Ground, Spirit and Prickly Pear.
