Ian Parrys Debut Album - a long forgotten Gem! A multi-national act, HAMMERHEAD scored an impressive major label deal with EMI Records and were amongst the ports of call for British vocalist IAN PARRY, who superseded the bands original singer (ex PICTURE vocalist Schmoulik Avigal). At the time of his recruitment Parry already had to his credits stints with THE NEXT and MONO PACIFIC, a band that was to be the first musical venture of Zak Starkey, the drummer son of former BEATLES legend Ringo Starr. Parry was joined in HAMMERHEAD by bassist and fellow Brit Ian Bishop , who had previously been a member of Dutch outfit THE WILD.
Following the bands debut EP a full length album was recorded as HAMMERHEAD drafted in former RAINBOW keyboard player David Rosentahl and Van Der Wattering lost his place to the American Joe Franco, a man who had made his mark with TWISTED SISTER and WIDOWMAKER. |
