BYFIST, the Texas-based band featuring members of REVEREND, have finally had their new album, Preserving the Past: The Collection. The effort was remastered by 9250AV (formerly Cyberella) and contains three previously released EPs combined into one full length CD. BYFIST shunned the glam metal scene by delivering a raw, no fluff, and no frills metal in the vein of early JUDAS PRIEST. Reviews have compared BYFIST to the likes of ARMORED SAINT, early ANTHRAX and METAL CHURCH, among many other historic thrash metal bands.
