The hit Satellite sounded like if the Stooges had hired decent musicians and replaced Iggy Pop with a female vocalist, but much of the album was more introspective and included some electronic elements among the guitars and organs. The well-known trumpet player Goran Kajfes also appeared on the album. The bands name came from the singer Nathalie Barusta, who worked as a designer and had sung with the Sirens until she had been forced to quit due to illness. Teaming up with her friend Carl Larsson from Honey Is Cool, she formed Barusta. |
