The highlights abound, as virtually every number is a good listen. A smooth chorus and some underlying chug work rolls through Voodoo Nights, and Earls of Black is energetic and strong. Slower paces move several tracks, as a great, deep-chested vocal chorus is the strong point of Night and Rain, while a mid-section slow burn is contained within the title track. Tear Down the Walls is steady, Hot Wheels has some slicing, razor-edged axe work, and The Temple of the Holy is a piano/acoustic mood piece. |
